Senior Internal Auditor (2 Posts)
The ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree or National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Internal Auditing or Accounting from an accredited tertiary institution, along with at least 5 years' experience, three of which should have been spent in internal auditing at a supervisory level. Knowledge of Auditing and Accounting
Standards is essential, while experience in IT auditing, forensic and risk management would be advantageous. Candidates should possess a driver's licence and must be able to undertake a substantial amount of travel.
Skills requirements: * Strong analytical skills * A successful record of directing and deploying staff on multiple simultaneous engagements * Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
* Technical proficiency in internal auditing * Ability to work within budgetary and time constraints, while providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key functions include: * Assisting in developing the 3-year internal audit annual plan and operational plan
* Assisting in the development and monitoring of the internal audit budget * Determining areas of risk and appraising their significance in relation to operational factors of cost, schedule, and quality * Co-ordinating the activities of the internal audit function, and assisting with the development and implementation of policies and methodology * Scheduling projects and staff assignments so as to comply with Management's needs, within the scope for internal audit activity's overall schedule * Compiling internal audit reports and presenting findings to Management * Preparing and reviewing working papers in line with Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing * Conducting internal audit projects as per operational plan, in line with the Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing * Providing an advisory service to all clients in terms of risk, control and governance issues * Supervising the working of staff engaged in the projects and providing formal plans for training and evaluation * Conducting ad hocs or investigations and follow up audits.
