Description:
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea seeks an intelligent, self-motivated, articulate Researcher with Capitol Hill background to work with diplomats in the Congressional Section.
The Researcher's primary responsibilities include:
- Performing short- and long-term research projects, as requested by the members of the Embassy;
- Writing reports, newsletters, correspondence and additional material as requested;
- Monitoring news reports, legislation, government documents, statements and briefings;
- Handling delegations between the US and the ROK;
- Maintaining ties with Capitol Hill and the academic community; and
- Other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Qualification:
A Bachelor's degree and experience on Capitol Hill and/or legislative background is required. The successful candidate will also likely have:- Demonstrated interest in current events, East Asia, U.S.-R.O.K. relations, and U.S. foreign policy;
- Strong research and analytical abilities;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Effective cross-cultural capabilities;
