Associate Director, Contracts & Grants Location: US, Washington, DC

We seek qualified candidates for the position of Associate Director, Contracts & Grants, for FHI Development 360 in Washington DC.

Position Description:

Provide leadership, management and technical expertise in Contracts and Grants (C&G) support. Provide solutions-oriented support to FHI 360 programs including interpretation of award terms and conditions and effective and appropriate use of sub award instruments and other tools. Facilitate compliance with donor requirements and FHI 360 policies and procedures throughout life of prime award.

Requires significant experience reviewing, negotiating and managing donor-sponsored awards, especially those from USG agencies, not-for-profit foundations, and multilateral development organizations such as ADB, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA. Requires substantial experience with USG acquisition and assistance regulations and guidelines, including US Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars A-110, A-122, and A-133; US Agency for International Development (USAID) Automated Directives System (ADS); NIH Grants Policy Statement; Code of Federal Regulations; Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Agency supplements such as USAID's Acquisition Regulations (AIDAR) and Health and Human Services Acquisition Regulations (HHSAR).

Requires seasoned negotiation and technical review skills regarding contract terms and conditions, knowledge of budgets and contracts, ability to work independently on several projects with minimal supervision, ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues, superior written and verbal communication skills.

Sensitivity to cross-cultural communication issues and cultural diversity, including understanding of the political and ethical issues in research and international program areas.

Minimum Requirements:

10 years of relevant experience required

Masters required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Microsoft Word and Excel software skills.
