CLRN Funding Manager (Deputy Senior Manager - Funding and Information)

Applications are invited from an experienced healthcare research manager with a background in research grant administration to be responsible for the support of clinical trials within the CLRN, and for high-level financial reporting to the NIHR. The post holder will also be responsible for external communication, which includes producing high level reports for CEOs as well as providing routine advice to clinical investigators and R&D departments. The post holder will line manage a small team and will deputise for the Senior Manager. The post is based at the Barts Cancer Institute, Barts and the London at Charterhouse Square, London.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. biological science or allied health subject) and have a postgraduate qualification or substantial experience in clinical trial/grant administration, preferably in the public or charitable sector; an understanding of NHS service support costs (as defined in ARCO/AcoRD) would be advantageous. Demonstrable experience of managing budgets is also essential as is line management experience and excellent computer skills, especially databases and Excel.

This is a substantive post on an NHS annual funding cycle. Starting salary (NHS Band 8A) will be in the range of £37,996-45,596 per annum exclusive of London Allowance.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme
