Competition Lawyer DLA Piper Amsterdam, Netherlands

DLA Piper's Regulatory team in Amsterdam is looking for an enthusiastic Lawyer for its regulatory and competition practice. Your work will comprise all aspects of competition law, which includes advising, conducting compliance audits and giving compliance training sessions, preparing and filing concentration notifications and assisting enterprises in the event of investigations or enforcement by the Netherlands Competition Authority and the European Commission.

Our Regulatory practice focuses on advising on, and litigating in proceedings concerning, government control. The Regulatory practice comprises a diverse number of Dutch and European regulatory issues, in which procurement law, telecommunications law, supervision of the health care and financial sectors and competition law take a prominent place.

The team consists of six lawyers who specialise in the above-referenced areas of Dutch and European legislation. The team also deals with related areas of law such as general administrative law and civil proceedings concerning these areas or sub-areas of law. Internationally speaking, this group is part of DLA Piper's international Regulatory team, with specialists in all major jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, Australia, the US and Africa.

Profile

We would like to meet candidates who have:

• 3 to 5 years' experience as a lawyer;
• Experience and an affinity with competition law;
• A convincing and energetic personality;
• A practical approach which is characterised by solution-oriented thinking, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Dutch and in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
