System Administrator (MRM) - Impala – Rustenburg

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate (a relevant degree/diploma would be an advantage)
• Computer literacy (advanced MS Office and VBA)
• 3 years’ exposure in mining technical services and resource management
• The ability to consolidate, interrogate and analyse data from various sources within the mineral resource and mining domain
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Self-motivation
• A valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence and own transport
• A valid Medical Certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate.

Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (eg BO) and practical knowledge of underground mining would be advantageous

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Accurately compiling the required standard management reports
• Consolidating and analysing data and presenting management information
• Maintaining and creating new management reports
• Liaising with different departments to ensure smooth information flow (Planning, Survey, Geology, Finance, HR)

Environmental Officer: Transport - Impala - Rustenburg

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate plus a relevant diploma or degree
• Advanced computer literacy (MS Office programmes, SAP DMS and SAP Waste Module)
• A valid Code 08 driver’s licence with own transport
• ISO 14001 qualifications in EMS and auditing
• ISO Matrix experience
• Dedicated and committed
• A valid medical certificate or medical fitness in order to obtain such a certificate. At least 5 years’ mining experience would be considered an advantage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation (NEMA, Water, Air, Land and Waste)
• Conducting/facilitating environmental aspect assignments
• Assisting with the setting of objectives and targets for significant aspects
• Communicating environmental issues
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 EMS requirements through auditing inspections
• Managing incidents
• Ensuring the implementation of environmental improvements to sites, facilities, operations or processes as defined by EMS
• Implementing environmental procedures and developing site standards
• Ensuring continual improvement by managing planned actions
• Administration of the environmental database
• Monitoring, measuring, recording and reporting environmental statistics
• Conducting environmental performance reviews, job training and coaching.

Shaft Timberman (Impala - Rustenburg)

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• Grade10/Standard 8 is essential
• A valid Onsetter and Blasting Certificate is essential
• Work exposure as a Shaft Timberman
• A valid Medical Certificate or the applicant must be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate
• Supervisory skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Receiving, handling, storing and issuing explosives
• Maintaining, clearing blockages and repairing shaft ore-passes
• Preparing conveyance for shaft examination and repairs
• Relieving the Onsetter and/or Banksman from time to time
• Maintaining housekeeping standards in the work areas.

Specialist Buyer - Marula

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• 3 years’ procurement experience in a mining environment
• A Code 08 driver’s licence
• A Grade 12 with Mathematics and commercial subjects
• Progress towards an applicable tertiary qualification in Procurement or a commercial degree
• Sound communication and language skills in English. Computer literacy, especially MS Excel and Word, and experience in the procurement of construction and site work would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Procuring at the lowest possible prices, right quality and for delivery performance
• Procurement activities relating to services and construction in a mining environment
• Arranging and coordinating/chairing site meetings and tender adjudication committees
• Liaising with role-players in the procurement environment
• Supporting local BEE spend initiatives

Fitter and Turner (Impala - Rustenburg)

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
● An N3 (NQF Level 4) qualification, including a valid trade test (Section 13)
● At least 3 years’ experience as a qualified Fitter and Turner in a plant environment
● Experience in HP 300 cone crushers, jaw crushers and conveyor maintenance
● A valid Red Ticket or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate of fitness
● A valid driver’s licence and own transport (essential)
● Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
● Willingness to work a reasonable amount of overtime, including weekends and public holidays plus standby duties, as required.

Maintenance experience in the following areas will be required:
● Milling circuits
● Flotation cells
● Pumps, pipes, gears and valves
● Lubrication systems
● Thickeners and flotation.

Electrician (Impala - Rustenburg)

Chief Surveyor (Impala - Rustenburg)

The ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:
• A Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency
• A National Higher Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Mine Surveying or Mineral Resource Management is essential
• At least 5 years’ appropriate working exposure in the management of a Survey/Sampling Office
• Conflict resolution and disciplinary skills
• Intimate knowledge of the applicable acts and regulations
• Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential
• The ability to work underground if necessary
• The ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision
• The ability to produce reports accurately and timeously
• Medical fitness. Successful completion of the Management Development Programme, postgraduate diploma in Engineering and experience in Microstation CAD and MRM will be advantageous.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
• Managing the Survey/Sampling function on a shaft
• Assisting the Mine Manager with production planning and grade control
• Taking responsibility for ore reserve compilations and mining layouts
• Adhering to the Survey Codes of Practice and complying with the applicable acts and regulations.
