Requirements: • BioMedTech/BSc Honours/MSc degree • Current registration with the HPCSA • Extensive work experience in a laboratory • Ability to process specimens in a laboratory - from sample receipt up to result entry • HPLC and LCMS experience • Appropriate conduct - have positive attitude towards organisation, management
and colleagues.
Duties: • Maintain instrumentation • Quality assurance - update working instructions relating to sample preparation as well as instrument maintenance • Method development - keep electronic record of validation data of all new tests/methods/procedures • Housekeeping - do the daily/monthly housekeeping and maintenance as set out in the Quality manual • Material management - assist the Laboratory Manager with end of month stock take • Source for new items when the need arise and order.
