Position Description:
Job Purpose
The M&E Manager will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the Association projects and programmes. He/she is expected to reposition the function by facilitating result based knowledge management. The M&E Manager will provide report based on the implementation plan, the performance monitoring plan, and the annual work plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement the monitoring and evaluation system and tools using approved indicators and targets, to measure progress and make recommendations for improvement.
Track progress towards achieving the programmes and project objectives.
Ensure consistency of the Association monitoring and evaluation system and tools with those of the PPF.
Build the capacity of the UMATI staff involved in data collection. This includes initiating, organising, participating in, and/or conducting training sessions and evaluation workshops.
Support regular data collection, conduct analysis of data and prepare reports and share it with management and IPPFARO. Support the implementation of baseline and other surveys, such as project reviews, and mid-term and end-of-project reviews.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of the reporting systems for preparing project reports as per the Donor formats/requirements.
Prepare for presentation and distribution to stakeholders: data, lessons learned, best practices, and the statistical, qualitative, and anecdotal evidence.
Write a variety of documents and analytical reports, e.g. data summaries, workshop reports, etc. Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree preferably in mathematics or statistics, applied Research. Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of working experience with an NGO, International Organization or government agency
Experience in establishing an M&E system, i.e. developing data collection forms, indicator reference sheets, and performance monitoring plans.
