National Democratic Institute Senior System Engineer:Technology
Provision, Install, Configure, Monitor and Maintain HRIS systems hardware and software infrastructure. Administer HRIS databases. Create and manage HRIS reports. Advocates NDI’s technology solutions and its adoption.This job might require after-hours work
Responsibilities
- Administer Unix (AIX) servers on a daily basis
- Assist in managing security related tasks on all Linux servers.
- Follows NDI Tech team’s documented policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain reports using Lawson Reporting Suite, Process Flow, MSAdd, and Crystal Reports
- Interact with consultants to implement specific security and/or network related projects
- Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application to HRIS projects
- Manage HRIS databases and liaison with consultants who assist in database administration and with functional HR business analysts to assist in the design, development, testing and implementation of new or updated HR/Payroll business processes and/or workflows
Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred. Technical certifications preferred.
- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience and a minimum of four (4) years of experience with HRIS systems
- Experience with an international development organization preferred
- Experience in writing technical documentation
- Ability to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully
- Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
- Experience managing virtual environments and systems strongly preferred.
- Expertise in Lawson strongly preferred
- Expertise in AIX systems required
- Experience with any HRIS system required
