Project Officer - Agro-economist
Employer: NGO CEFA
Working place: Kata Ikondo (Njombe District).

Salary: depending on study and work experience
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Project Officer is a full-time agent in charge of supporting the planning and implementation of the project activities under the supervision of Project Responsible: crop production, farmers’ groups’ organization, cereal bank establishment, marketing activities (cereals, beans, sunflower oil), rural infrastructure maintenance, seminars and trainings organization.
His/Her main tasks and work field will be the following:
Planning, strategic decision-making and reporting to headquarters’ level;
Fieldwork for direct interfacing with beneficiaries and other actors;
Facilitation of the linkages among all the actors involved in the project.
REQUISITES
Technical knowledge about the agricultural practices (fertilisation and soil conservation, crop production, fighting diseases, harvest and post harvest techniques);
Marketing skills: finding market, organising purchase and sale;
Community mobilization capacity;
Skills on capacity building of farmers’ groups on technical, management and market level;
English writing and speaking;
Computer skills.
