Teaching Associate/Confucius Institute Deputy Director

£27,578 - £35,938 per annum depending on skills and qualifications. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above post based in the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies at the University of Nottingham. The role holder will be expected to undertake teaching and associated duties including providing pastoral support for students. The post holder will be expected to contribute high quality teaching on the range of programmes offered by the School at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Acting as Deputy Director of the Confucius Institute the post holder will also undertake an important administrative role in the day to day operational management of the Confucius Institute.

Candidates must have a Masters degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and teaching experience in relevant subjects at degree level in a Higher Education context. In addition, candidates should have excellent communication and IT skills, work effectively under pressure to meet demanding deadlines and be committed to the provision of a high level of service.

This full-time post is available from 1 September 2012 and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2015.
