Programme funding officer, Latin America and the Caribbean

This post offers an exciting opportunity to work with Christian Aid in London but covering the Spanish speaking countries in Latin America. The main focus of the post is to support the Latin America and Caribbean Division in Christian Aid in raising and managing restricted institutional income and promoting positive engagement with partners, alliances and donors to achieve transformational growth by increased impact, scale and leverage.

You will need expertise in working with institutional donors (eg EU, ECHO USAID) on funding proposals and grant management, including proven success of securing funds; have understanding of international development issues and donors trends; knowledge of key social, economic, cultural and environmental issues in Latin America and experience working with Southern society organisations. To be successful in this role you will also need high level of numeracy and understanding of financial controls and procedures; good analytical ability with excellent spoken and written Spanish and English; excellent IT skills. A university degree in social sciences, administration or management or equivalent experience is also required.
