Christian Aid Editor

The postholder will be required to produce engaging communications for Christian Aid, across a wide range of channels, including print and web. He/she will work with designers, writers, multimedia and production staff in the Communications Division, which serves as an internal creative agency. He/she will edit, copywrite and project-manage the production of materials, at the request of churches, advocacy, international, fundraising and marketing teams.

You will be educated to degree level, and hold a relevant qualification in journalism, PR or marketing (or have equivalent work experience). An inspiring writer, you will be able to tailor copy for different audiences and channels, to tight deadlines, while adhering to brand and style guidelines. An understanding of the Christian faith community is essential, as is willingness to produce written content that engages Christians imaginatively (such as theological reflections or fundraising initiatives). You will also have knowledge of global development issues, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good organisational skills. Also vital is up-to-date experience of publishing technology (particularly InDesign and Acrobat professional) for print and online media.
