Chief Technical Adviser (CTA), L-5, Islamabad, Pakistan

The CTA will be responsible for local strategic management and coordination of the Trade Related Technical Assistance (TRTA) II programme, which is a EUR 9.5 million trade capacity-building programme under European Union funding. The programme has started in 2010 and will end in 2 years. In particular, the CTA will be responsible for the improvement of quality infrastructure services, the development of compliance in selected, mainly agro-based, value chains, and for ensuring synergies with ITC and WIPO project components. The CTA will work under the overall guidance of the UNIDO Project Manager in Vienna and be assisted by a programme management office.

The job requires an advanced university degree in economics, science, engineering or agriculture; supported by at least 10 years of progressive professional experience in trade related capacity building, quality infrastructure and value chain development
