We're looking for a Publicist to provide 360 degree press and publicity campaign planning and execution on priority and proactive content for BBC News. You'll look after high profile programming such as Panorama, Newsnight, Today, News Channel, News Website, TV and radio bulletins and current affairs crown jewels on a huge range of subjects.

Role

Providing the relevant programmes and editorial teams with an authoritative source of advice on all aspects of press and publicity, you'll create and implement written programme strategies to deliver an effective 360 degree communications campaign on a range of media. You'll manage the campaigns and be responsible for the liaison with and communications management of senior BBC executives. You'll stimulate public interest in prioritised programmes and services by devising imaginative and innovative campaigns, specifically tailored to the individual programme or audience.

Requirements

With a proven record of achievement in publicity, public relations or journalism you'll have a good understanding of the media environment and the news gathering process both in radio, television and print. You'll have excellent and proven creativity with excellent news sense and the ability to write crisp, clear and lively press releases and copy, which stimulates both press and public interest.
