GRANTS MANAGER

This is a national position open to those with Thai or Burmese nationality
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Thailand country program was established in 1976 to assist refugees from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and currently assists refugees and migrants from Burma. IRC Thailand operates as one of the largest and programmatically diverse humanitarian organizations providing essential services to displaced populations in Thailand. Assistance programs encompass health, education, institutional capacity building, gender-based violence prevention, water and sanitation, income generation, advocacy, protection and legal assistance.
The Grants Manager works in close coordination with the Program Coordinator and DDP and Country Director and provides support in all aspects of grants management and administration. Responsible for preparing all donor reports in coordination with the program teams, the Grants Manager will also support proposal production and project design. In order to increase the grants management capacity of field based program teams, the Grants Manager will assess need and provide training and mentoring
Primary Responsibilities
 Under the guidance of the Program Coordinator, prepare narrative program reports on schedule according to project formats prescribed by various donors, including UNHCR, DFID, BPRM, USAID, SV and other donors as required.
 Assist field offices with preparing progress reports for the Ministry of Interior, Thailand.
 Build grants management capacity of field-based program teams, particularly regarding donor reporting and data management.
 Ensure availability of and access to resource information for staff and visitors.
 Manage the electronic grants tracking and documentation systems, and ensure the proper maintenance of printed documentation systems.
 Support the other members of the Grants team and undertake their tasks in their absence.
 Assist the Program Coordinator with the day-to-day management and monitoring of projects.
 Assist the Program Coordinator with conceptualizing, designing, writing, and editing donor proposals and other grant submissions
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
 Excellent English grammar skills and writing ability
 At least 5 years experience in international humanitarian or development work or grant writing
 Computer proficient, with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
 Ability to analyze and synthesize complex materials and documents
 Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under regular deadlines
 Excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible approach
Preferred Qualifications
 Experience of project management and M&E
 Training skills
