QGC is establishing one of Australia’s largest capital infrastructure projects to turn our world-class reserves of coal seam gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG). Queensland Curtis LNG, a priority project for QGC, involves expanding our exploration and development in southern and central Queensland and transporting gas via a 380km buried pipeline to Curtis Island near Gladstone, where it will be liquefied. QGC operates the gas-fired Condamine Power Station, the world’s first combined-cycle power station to run entirely on coal seam gas.
Position Summary
The purpose of this role is to provide support to QGC’s business by coordinating the companies reserve growth, integrated field development and growth projects. The position assists in the day to day running of the gas plants within each regional area, ensuring the safe integrity of the plant and people within the plant whilst production targets are met. 

The role will be responsible for these tasks within their defined regional area – i.e. Jordan, Windibri, Ruby Jo, Kenya or Woleebee Creek.
Key Accountabilities
Position Specific• Fully conversant in emergency response plans and procedures and conduct maintenance of emergency response equipment
• Participate in emergency response simulations and training
• Deliver defined work programs including planning tasks to meet work demands
• Monitor baseline mechanical maintenance of the Compressor Station to ensure the high availability of the compressor sets, metering, pressure regulation, and plant
• Conduct a high level of surveillance across all areas of the FCS’s & CPP’s including the ponds/interceptor pits and & report on any issues eg MC work order etc.
• Maintain and manage maintenance registers and databases for utilities & ancillary equipment
• Ensure the development of historical data and timely close out of workorders within the CMMS 
• Ensure compliance to manufacturers guidelines, maintenance agreements and warrantees
• Ensure environmental regulation and reporting requirements are met (leak and spill management) (Compliance with the EOP)
• Proactively address housekeeping issues within the gas plants
• Provide advice and recommendations to the Supervisor on gas plant performance, improvements and planned maintenance needs
• Ensure consumables and spares stock for gas plant and equipment is maintained, tracked and procured to required levels
• Carry out design change implementation 
utilising the Management of Change procedure and participate in HAZOP/CHASOP/SQRA & equipment design reviews 
• Compile and maintain operating procedures related to gas plant
• Complete work plans and reports related to gas plant
• Adhere to responsibilities of PTW system and perform the role of the Permit to Work/Area Owner/Permit Holder for the tasks performed
• Undertake isolations on plant and equipment only for which they have been deemed competent. 

People Management• Supervise as need be of the contract staff working on or near the plant 
• May train others to ensure skill development within the team
• The incumbent must adhere to the annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed:
• Instrumentation controls experience
• High level field gas operations experience
• Experience in rotating equipment
• Experience and competence with Caterpillar and Waukesha gas engines
• Experience and competency with Ariel and Frick screw compression
• Knowledge of dehydration units (TEG’s) and the ability troubleshooting
• Experience in reading instrumentation locally (e.g., gauges, flow rates, temperatures), and remotely such as DCS and SCADA, manipulate the data (e.g., trending, editing, compiling) and document data for analysis.
• Experience in working under oil & gas industry regulation and safe operating standards (e.g., PPE, Lockout/Tagout, electrical area classification, management of change, MSDS, environmental regulations and compliance, emergency procedures, permitting procedures, housekeeping, etc).
• An understanding of Hazardous Area zones and compliance within the zones
• High pressure gas experience
• Previous accountability for undertaking discrete tasks without supervision desirable
• Trained and verified as competent to operate plant and equipment
• Experience in basic workplace reporting procedures
• Training relating to working in confined spaces
• Training relating to working at heights

Knowledge, Languages,
Skills and Attributes
• Be knowledgeable of Facilities Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance to Pipeline Licence and regulatory conditions
• Be conversant with Pipeline Standards AS2885
• Attend training to be deemed competent as an Area Owner/Permit Holder under the QGC Permit to Work procedure
• Understanding of QGC and industry standards
• Understanding of HSSE principals
• Ability to interpret PFD’s and P&ID’s
• Understanding of their role in asset processes and procedures
