Project Manager – Client Services

shapiroassociates is a national consulting firm, created in 1998, that specializes in growth-related projects for nonprofit organizations. The firm focuses on fundraising strategy, assisting organizations in building their fundraising capacity and organizing comprehensive development departments and capital campaigns. We are currently seeking a development professional with 3-5 years relevant experience for a permanent, full-time position. The Project Manager will perform a broad range of development activities on behalf of client organizations that span the nonprofit sector, and provide all aspects of office and administrative support.
Responsibilities
Development:
  • Conducting program, donor and prospect research for clients
  • Developing proposals, concept papers, and other fundraising materials, as needed
  • Serving as a liaison with selected subcontractors on special projects, with the potential to advance to direct work with clients
  • Project Management, including managing and tracking progress on account activity and taking the leadership with selected projects, including direct mail programs
  • Developing client and funder presentations and other print material
  • Providing overall project leadership and/or support as needed
Office Administration:
  • Maintaining electronic and hard copy files
  • Scheduling meetings, managing travel, billing, contracts, and expenses
  • Ordering supplies, telephone work
  • Assisting with correspondence
  • Providing additional support as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
  • Interest in nonprofit fund development and/or consulting
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a broad range of audiences
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial, creative, cheerful and flexible approach
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small office
  • Demonstrated success in a deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness to put in the extra effort to "finish the job"
  • Excellent computer and trouble shooting skills, including all Microsoft office applications
  • 3-5 years relevant office experience required, preferably in a nonprofit organization or consulting firm
  • Bachelor's Degree required
