Conference - Marketing MBA Summer Internship

Program Objective
To introduce MBA students to Diageo through a challenging, rewarding, and fun internship program. This internship is the primary pathway to future employment in brand management at Diageo. 
Program Overview
As a summer intern, you will get first-hand experience with our work, our people, our values, and our culture. Summer interns are given real responsibilities and challenges with projects that have an immediate impact on the business. Throughout the summer, interns are given multiple opportunities to interact with senior management through both their project work and our executive breakfast series. All interns also receive individual coaching and training from their immediate manager, and the opportunity to show results. You’ll be expected to perform to our high standards and are given the same kind of performance feedback we give our full-time employees.
During the 10-week summer internship, you will be a member of one of our brand teams. Your time will be spent on a key business projects that will have an immediate impact on one of our brands. At the conclusion of the summer, you will present this project to the marketing leadership team. You will also get numerous opportunities to explore the benefits of New York City through a wide range of social activities that are planned throughout the summer.

Sample Projects from past internships
 
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Guinness
    Extra Stout (GES) consumer and develop a
    marketing plan to maximize the volume opportunity
    for GES; work with key agency partners to develop
    initial marketing materials.
  • Deliver a relationship marketing strategy for the
    Tanqueray Portfolio.
  • Define how Johnnie Walker moves to the #1 position
    in the Status motivation.
  • Assess current perceptions of the rum category and
    Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum amongst M21-
    24 acceptor/availables to understand triggers and
    barriers to trial and commitment building on the
    brand.

  • Marketing MBA interns typically have 2 to 5 years of
    work experience
  • Diageo will not sponsor individuals for U.S. work
    authorization in connection with this program.
    Applicants must have unrestricted U.S. work
    authorization that does not now or in the future
    require sponsorship.
 
Location
All Marketing positions for MBA interns are located at our US headquarters in New York City. All candidates should be willing to travel as needed throughout the internship.
