Sourcing Analyst

Sandvik Hyperion has been created within Sandvik Venture to be the home of a world-class hard and super-hard materials company.

Sandvik Hyperion is looking for a Sourcing Analyst at their Worthington, OH location.

Key Performance Areas

• Screen and process Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders for assigned categories
• Participate in cross functional teams to improve current processes, solve problems, and identify and implement cost savings projects
• Work with accounts payable, shipping, receiving and vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Determine best purchase method for existing & future MRO items
• Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers to enhance cash flow
• Work with suppliers to streamline the purchase to pay cycle via electronic PO generation and EFT or credit card payment
• Work with Operations Manager, Engineers, Maintenance and Manufacturing associates to standardize equipment & parts, and to determine equipment/facility-related needs.
• Align with Indirect Purchasing goals, targets and strategies while maintaining and satisfying the business needs of the site

Your Profile

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience or applicable related experience in indirect goods and services
• Experience with Oracle or other ERP system, Lotus Notes, Business Objects, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
• Adequate level of technical and/or mechanical aptitude to understand mechanical parts, equipment and processes
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Confident in their abilities to effectively solicit information, negotiate, and administer change      
• Possess the ability to multi-task and have strong time management skills
