Context
• Junior Financial Analyst is member of Irish Financial Controlling team and reports to Financial Controller
• In this role Junior Financial Analyst has a great influence on one of the most complex business processes, which is the trade investments
• Western Europe Represent 25% of Diageo’s profit, Ireland is the 2nd largets country in the region

Purpose of Role
• Prepare monthly reconciliations between finance systems used (SAP, BW and Advantage), including data accuracy check, process embedment check and system check
• Support the trade investment analyst (L5) and country commercial finance teams in the month-end closures and ad-hoc requests / queries
• Be a key member of finance team, supporting delivery of:
Top Accountabilities
• Support trade investment analyst in smooth running on month-end process in the country through ensuring smooth & timely flow of information between various functions and data accuracy checks. Help the analyst to solve any issues coming up in the reconciliations and month end issues
• Participating in the daily accounting and reporting activities
Qualifications and experience required
• 1-2 years relevant work experience in finance and accounting (preferably reporting)
• Strong / advanced Excel knowledge
• Ability to work alone, attention to the details / accuracy
• Fluency in English (oral and written communications)
• Basic communication and presentation skills
• University or College degree in Economics or Finance and Accounting
• Basic SAP knowledge is a must
