Starting Salary: £13,478 per annum (as of 1 April 2016)
A very exciting future lies ahead of St Mary’s as the growth of our University means we are embracing new challenges and realising new opportunities. Digital Capabilities is a university wide agenda aligned to employability and national initiatives such as the Select Committee Report by the House of Lords (2015) and the QAA themes on Student Employability and Digital Literacy (2015-16).
We are looking to recruit an intern to support the Head of Learning Technology on the Digital Capabilities project. The main responsibility of the role will be to create resources in order to develop and enhance Digital Capabilities whilst identifying tools to support student learning.
The internship will provide an opportunity to ascertain the current skills and capabilities of staff and students through the use of focus groups, questionnaires, meetings and other relevant forums. Another key area of the role will be to take ownership of sourcing information from professional bodies and external organisations to help inform and shape St Mary’s approach to Digital Capabilities.
There will be opportunities for learning and support provided by members of the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team, Academic Liaison Librarians, Learning Advisors and other academic support staff as well as students.
This post represents a valuable opportunity for graduates who have completed an Honours Degree (with a 1 or 2.1 classification) looking to develop skills, gain experience and progress their career.
This vacancy closes on the 6th of April, 2016.
Interviews are likely to be held in mid-April 2016.
