Directly accountable to the Vice-Chancellor, the University is seeking an accomplished academic leader, with outstanding people skills, to provide strategic and academic leadership, as Dean of the College.
Working closely with the four Directors of the Research Schools, within the College, the Dean will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the College with oversight of research and teaching and learning. Developing successful community, industry and government engagement collaborations, that enhance the national and international profile of the College, will also be important.
Highly developed communication skills and the capacity to influence effectively, should be complemented by the ability to engage with all the College disciplines, to encourage integrated research and teaching frameworks. The ability to build relationships across the University and actively mentor others while engendering a positive culture of collaboration will be essential.
