Background
Oxfam’s purpose is to work with others to overcome poverty and suffering around the world and in Rwanda we focus on the promotion of sustainable livelihoods opportunities and women’s empowerment through enterprise development in agriculture. We are currently recruiting for some exciting positions within our team in Kigali as follows:

Finance and Systems Manager (REF-RWAFSM)
We require a strong finance and systems manager to provide quality strategic and operational financial management and planning in the Rwanda programme. This role will focus on internal financial programming with a variety of donors and projects, with the capacity to manage the budgets. Working closely with the Programme Managers the post holder will ensure quality of accounting, timely production of donor reports, and oversee all day-to-day financial operations. The post holder will be required to capacity-build and strengthen the knowledge of the team and partners they are working with to improve the quality of financial and systems processes over time. The post is a member of the country management team.

What we are looking for
You will have substantial expertise in the application of strategic financial management and experience in maximising resource utilisation; you should be a professionally qualified finance manager, preferably with some experience in INGO settings, and with the ability to influence and support colleagues in appreciating the importance of financial standards, procedures and controls; familiarity of working with donors and budgets. You will also need strong leadership and capacity building skills, influencing skills, and good communication skills including the ability to provide high-quality reports in written English with a good level of verbal and written French. You must be prepared to oversee staff working on logistics, IT and administration to ensure a strong programme support function within the country programme.
