A MARKETING AND SALES DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (M/F)

Reporting to: Project Manager

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Identify target groups in specific countries interested in developing economic relations with and within

Africa.

• Market EMRC projects and activities among potential contacts in pre-defined countries
• Strengthen relations with existing members and attract new ones

The following skills are required:

• Fluent English speaker with an excellent level of French; other languages are an asset
• Tertiary qualification
• At least 2 years experience in marketing and promotion, preferably related to Africa or economic development
• Good knowledge of European and international organisations and the developing world
• Strong oral communication skills and creative drafting abilities
• A high degree of computer proficiency

• Be open minded, enthusiastic and a natural communicator
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit, work independently, sometimes under tight deadlines, within a small multi-cultural team

An International Organisation established in 1992 and headquartered in Brussels, EMRC is composed of a network of entrepreneurs, financiers, consultants and officials from around the globe. EMRC is a member networking organisation supporting Africa’s private sector and promoting North-South economic and trade relations. Our main activities are the organisation of business events in Europe and Africa, leading field visits, running tailor made missions, developing projects and publishing the Dialogues Magazine.
