RESEARCH SCHOLAR IN BIOGEOCHEMISTRY

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research on biogeochemical cycles and their role in the functioning of both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems in the Okavango Delta and the Kalahari region. The research will focus on nutrient, element and stable isotope studies. The successful candidate will be expected to initiate, develop and establish research programs covering aforementioned topics, raise research funds from funding agencies within and outside the country, supervise graduate students and participate in taught programmes offered at the Institute.

Requirements: Candidates should have the following qualifications and experience: (i) A PhD in Biology, Environmental Science or Earth Science with a background in Chemistry (ii) university teaching experience or equivalent will be an added advantage; (iii) evidence of engagement in research and academic leadership will be an added advantage
