Volunteer Architect / Experienced Technician / Job Runner

You could be one of our next project runners.

You will join a dedicated international design team working on projects such as community-led regeneration in Nigeria, school reconstruction in post-earthquake Haiti and ecological facilities for the management of a rainforest in Sierra Leone.

In all our projects we work along side local communities and partners; use local contractors, materials, and use this knowledge to create climate responsive designs.

We work in some of the most beautiful, yet challenging places in the world, and our work is underpinned by environmental, social and design agendas.

Requirements:

• Qualified Architect / Project Manager 5+ years work experience.
• Significant experience in job running, leading a small design team.
• Strong design skills essential.
• Excellent communication and personal skills.
• Experience in international development desirable.

Article 25 is an NGO team of construction professionals designing built solutions in post-disaster and post-war locations throughout the world. Projects include:

• Facilities for the Gola rainforest in Sierra Leone including; headquarters, staff village, research facility, school clinic and community centre, reconstruction in post-earthquake Haiti
• Earthquake-resistant housing, Pakistan.
• School construction in Burkina Faso.

Information:

• Start date: Immediate.
• Duration: 3 months, 6 month, 12 months durations available, with possible extension.
• Terms: These are voluntary, full time positions in the London office.
