Following a generous donation from Deutsche Bank Luxembourg S.A. the University of Luxembourg has established the Deutsche Bank Luxembourg Chair in Finance at the Luxembourg School of Finance (LSF). The LSF is the finance department of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, for information see www.lsf.lu. The University aims to recruit a professor who has strong connections with Asia and/or a serious research interest in Asian financial markets. This focus reflects the fact that Asian financial markets are in the forefront of global financial developments and of special interest to the Luxembourg financial centre, which is at the forefront of activity in investment funds, private banking and insurance.

The Deutsche Bank Chaired Professor of Finance will conduct academic research and will take an active teaching role in the Master of Science in Banking and Finance program that is offered by the LSF. Teaching is in English. The Deutsche Bank Chaired Professor of Finance to be recruited will have a strong educational background, which includes a PhD from a respected university or business school. He or she will have an excellent publication record in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, as well as broad teaching experience in degree programs and executive seminars. An internationally competitive compensation package is available.
