Overseas Research Fellow in Health Economics

We are seeking an enthusiastic Research Fellow to join the Communicable Diseases Policy Research Group, Department of Global Health and Development, based in Thailand, to work on a project entitled "Developing evidence-based investment options in support of pandemic preparedness policy in Cambodia". The post holder will be expected to contribute specifically to an economic evaluation of different investment scenarios and policy options for scaling up health system resources in response to the threat of pandemic influenza. The post holder will also contribute towards building research capacity within the region, including training workshops in Cambodia.

We are looking for an applicant, to start as soon as possible, with a background in health economics or related discipline, and experience of cost analyses of health systems interventions. There will also be opportunities to contribute to other related projects within the group and develop further research, as well as opportunities for teaching experience, according to the applicant's experience and interests. The successful applicant will be based in SE Asia for the duration of the grant, and will need to be able to travel between the research partners.

The post is full-time for 15 months and available as soon as possible. Salary will be on the School's National salary for research fellow scale £32,025-£36,863 per annum inclusive and will be subject to LSHTM overseas terms and conditions.
