Would you like:

  • £25,000+ pa remuneration in a development job that would fast track your career?
  • £4,000 Personal Development budget, management training plus additional support to study free for a higher degree?

We are seeking a highly motivated recent graduate to work in a fast moving market to develop an advanced wireless communications system based on GPRS/3G technology with a web2.0 interface for the remote control and management of equipment. The project involves the use and development of a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and offers great scope for skill development. This is a rare opportunity to lead the development of an innovative project from initial design to large scale commercial implementation, and will provide a wide range of both technical and managerial experience.

With full support from the University of Hull’s Department of Computer Science, you would play a key role in developing this new product over a 2 year fixed term Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP). You would be a University of Hull employee based at the market leading residential access control business of Key Management Systems Ltd (KMS) in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. A permanent role with the fast growing KMS might subsequently be available to you.

This KTP project is part of a national Government supported initiative sponsoring partnerships between business and universities which enable graduates to work on challenging, high profile projects of strategic corporate benefit (www.ktponline.org.uk).

You will be a good Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar Honours degree graduate and have a computer based practical background. Your experience must include C# or C++ development, SQL databases and software design. Experience with mobile communications technology (GPRS and 3G) is an advantage. You will be keen to learn and put into practice the latest technologies and development methodologies.
