Sponsorship Coordinator - Southern Africa

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The purpose of the position is to collaborate with the Regional Sponsorship Leader to support NOs to deliver on sponsorship operational priorities through establishing and maintaining effective and efficient sponsorship business systems, programming and operations procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      SPONSORSHIP BUSINESS SYSTEMS AND PROCESS (50%)

      Function as the primary capacity building and support for NOs with respect to the following sponsorship business systems:
      • STEP including its various applications such as Quickstep, STEPWise and others
      • SDplus
      • Digital Imaging
      • SOI data base
      • Consistent review, assessment of the various sponsorship systems databases awareness raising of urgent action items with the Regional
      • Sponsorship Leader.
      • Facilitate the enhanced utilization of STEP in alignment with the 6 goals of STEP
      • Assist in the development, testing and application of capacity building and operational resources relevant to all sponsorship business systems.
      • Provide remote and in country business systems and process support to NOs
      • Coordinate with the GCIT-SSS technical support group (helpdesk) in resolving issues that may arise related to NO and/or ADP operation of sponsorship business systems.
      • Coordinate with the Regional Sponsorship Leader and facilitate the implementation of capacity building of NOs related to sponsorship business systems and processes.
      • Documenting and liaising with the Senior Sponsorship Advisor on key action items and issues related to the roll out implementation and operation of the various sponsorship business systems and processes.
      • Review NO input into the Service Operations Indicator (SOI) database for timeliness, completeness and accuracy.
      • Compilation of monthly and quarterly regional SOI reports and submission of the report to the Regional Sponsorship Leader for analysis and finalisation
      SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMMING & SERVICE OPERATIONS (35%)
      • Ensure appropriate reports are received from and preliminary consolidation is done for analysis and finalization by the Regional Sponsorship Leader
        Support the Regional Sponsorship Leader
      • NO support and monitoring related to both sponsorship service and programming operations
      • Identifying and conducting sponsorship business process reviews in NO/ADPs where specific challenges have been identified with respect to the SOI and/or sponsorship standards.
      • Gather and do a preliminary consolidation of progress reports for major regional sponsorship projects e.g. SBT roll out, sCMS roll out and others.

        ADMINISTRATION (15%)
      • Provide logistical and other support for successful implementation of regional sponsorship trainings, workshops, meetings and other events.
      • Support the Regional Sponsorship Leader in liaising with NO Sponsorship Managers and relevant staff on submission and/or completion of agreed action items
      • Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
        REQUIRED:
      • University / college degree or its equivalent in Management information systems, IT, Social Science field or other related recognized tertiary level qualification.
      • At least 3 years of experience in sponsorship operations and transformational development programming work.
      • Knowledge of step application & other WV sponsorship business systems is required; actual experience in usage of the application is a plus.
      • A thorough understanding of sponsorship service business processes, related standards and key performance indicators.
      • A working understanding of sponsorship operations’ roles and responsibilities in transformational development programming.

        PREFERRED:
      • Must have strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
