Dean, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs

Princeton University seeks a new Dean of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, a full-time appointment. The Woodrow Wilson School offers graduate degree programs leading to the Master of Public Affairs, Master of Public Policy, and Ph.D. degrees, as well as an undergraduate concentration. The School has more than 90 full-time faculty members, most of whom hold joint appointments in academic departments and programs such as Economics, Politics, Sociology, Psychology, Geosciences, Human Values, Demography, Molecular Biology, and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. There are approximately 180 undergraduate concentrators and over 200 students enrolled in advanced degree programs.

Qualifications for appointment to the tenured faculty of the Woodrow Wilson School and an appropriate academic department are required. Candidates must have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement; a commitment to the education of both undergraduate and graduate students; the ability to understand and encourage the full range of disciplines represented in the Woodrow Wilson School; a commitment to applying scholarly research to public policy issues; an aptitude for communicating the importance of policy-relevant scholarship to students, faculty, alumni, policy makers, and the public; and preferably experience administering a large staff.
