Monitoring & Evaluation Study

UNESCO Apia is seeking a suitably qualified consultant to undertake
monitoring and evaluation of the Tuvalu Education for Sustainable
Development project. The consultant will be expected to review the
work undertaken within the Tuvalu Education for Sustainable
Development project and prepare an evaluation report as well as a case
study report for publication.

Background:
As part of a global project on Climate Change Education for
Sustainable Development (CCESD), Tuvalu has been selected as one of
four pilot countries. The project will examine how ESD, and in
particular CCESD, can be developed in the national context as an entry
point for promoting the concept of sustainable development through
education. CCESD aims to strengthen capacities of policy makers and
teacher education institutions in selected pilot countries to
strengthen their educational responses to mitigate and adapt to
climate change.

The Assignment:
The consultant will be expected to and develop a monitoring and
evaluation framework for the CCESD project in Tuvalu and prepare a
report on project. In addition, the consultant will be required to
prepare an 8,000-10,000 case study report suitable for publication in
an international peer reviewed publication.
