Paradigm Shift is partnering with South African churches by training and equipping them to provide business training, microloans, mentoring and discipleship as an ongoing community-based outreach. By empowering these churches to provide the poor in their communities with economic development and discipleship, the Paradigm Shift program equips volunteers to provide long-term solutions to the poverty around them.
Paradigm Shift seeks a Director of Strategic Partnerships to work with the team in Johannesburg, South Africa. This office supports the churches who are running the Paradigm Shift program throughout South Africa.
This position requires raising missions support for yourself. Paradigm Shift team members are supported by friends, family, churches and organizations (we do not receive salaries from Paradigm Shift, only monthly stipends).

Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, equip and empower Master Trainers as Paradigm Shift continues to launch 100 new parters in the next 5 years
- Communicate and support Master Trainers as they launch new partners, providing them with coaching, training and support in person as well as via email and phone as necessary
- Travel to each region as necessary to meet with Master Trainers about their initial launch and ongoing progress as well as attending weekly meetings to observe the progress and offer constructive feedback
- Meet with church leaders about their experience with the Master Trainers and the program Inspire and create an atmosphere of excellence among Master Trainers and key volunteers
- Research potential Business Development Workshops topics and write two-hour long workshops (5-10) for volunteers
- Lead one Business Development Workshop in each of Paradigm Shift’s six regions once a year
- Work with the Paradigm Shift team to develop feedback reports to churches regarding how their program has done and what the impact has been
- Oversee communications with volunteers regarding training, coaching and ongoing development
Requirements
- Committed Christian
- Willing to move to South Africa (Johannesburg)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least two years work experience in a related job - public speaking experience essential
- Own and bring a Mac laptop running Mac OS X
- Have driver's license and be able to purchase a car upon arriving in South Africa
- Willing to go into impoverished communities around South Africa (significant travel may be required)
- Organized, attention to detail, ability to take on many projects and work on a flexible schedule
- This job may require tight deadlines and high demands - must be able to thrive in this environment without getting stressed
