• A full introduction to LME and SHFE metals trading, from intra day prop. trading to medium term arbitrage trading; with a view to start running small positions within 3 months, and assist in the management of the core trading positions after 12 months
• Facilitate/execute hedging requirement from internal departments
• Working closely with the physical (concentrates, scraps, metals) traders in China in analysing the physical metal supply/demand situation in China (i.e. import/export, productions/consumptions data)
• Explorer other opportunities in the domestic market (such as domestic equity, fuel oil, FX structured transactions)



• Assisting in operational activities.
• Act as Senior’s backup when he is unavailable.
• Watch the market and gather market information; ensure prompt market information flow; discover neglected market opportunity
• Translate market information into trading ideas; calculate/follow up on discovered market opportunities
• Prepare daily arbitrage calculations and other calculations for other metals traders
• Occasionally trade commodities in the futures market and physical market see opportunity.
• Handle hedging for physical metals sales; ensure correct hedging for physical metal trade
• Enter & Verify accuracy of some derivatives and physical trading records on the shanghai side.
• Participate in projects and random jobs assigned.
• Work for proper operation flow of the derivatives desk



Academic knowledge:
• Medium level of knowledge of finance (mechanism of futures, options, etc)
Industrial knowledge:
• Medium level of industrial knowledge (min 2-3 years of market experience)
• LME exposure is a must
• Computer and math skills
• Satisfiable level of computer and math skills
