EADD aims to move small holder women and men farmers out of poverty by improving their profit participation in the diary value chain. This initiative is implemented through partnership of three established organizations – TechnoServe, Heifer International and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) – working in targeted districts in Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda. TechnoServe’s role is to: organize small holder farmers to effectively bulk and market dairy products, ensure steady, cost effective supply of goods and services to farmer groups, and expand diary markets. Position Summary: This is primarily an implementation and team management role of the East Africa Dairy Development Program in Uganda. This position is responsible for organizing TechnoServe’s smallholder dairy farmers to effectively bulk and market dairy products, ensure steady, cost-effective supply of goods and services to farmers and farmer groups and to expand dairy markets. Reporting to the Senior Business Manager, the Senior Business Advisor’s roles and responsibilities will be: Work closely with Business Advisors, Dairy Farmer Business Associations (DFBAs), local stakeholders and sub-contractors, as well as respective management team to support DFBAs become sustainable dairy business enterprises. Supervise all Business Advisors and Junior Business Advisors under the project and assess their performance against project objectives and strategies on behalf of the Senior Business Manager and in accordance with agreed performance criteria for the position Coordinate project activities and identify strategies for effective execution of the project objectives. Prepare accurate and timely project status report: monthly, quarterly and annual Monitor and evaluate the project’s effectiveness

Requirement: * Degree qualifications in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business Management or business related studies * Strong project management and financial analysis skills; * Minimum of five years field and technical experience with agribusiness development in Uganda is required; * Experience working with farmer group/market linkage programs preferred; * Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills a must; * Ability to develop well-written, cohesive analyses and reports; * Track record of building strong client and stakeholder relationships; * Ability to generate innovative solutions in work situations; * Proven ability and experience working with and managing teams is essential
