Supply Chain Management Officer

Package: ±R220 000 per annum (Total Employment Cost)

Requirements: • A BCom degree or Bachelor of Business Administra on and 2 years’ experience in public services SCM OR a diploma in SCM and 3 years’ experience in public services SCM OR a recognised certificate in public services SCM or Procurement and at least 5 years’ extensive experience in public services SCM • Extensive knowledge of financial management and SCM processes • Extensive knowledge of the PFMA, B-BBEEA, PPPFA, SCM guidelines to Accounting Offi cers and National Treasury Regulations • Strong conceptual thinking ability • Research and development skills • Networking ability • Planning and organising skills • Computer literacy • Communication skills • The ability to work under pressure.

Duties: • Coordinate Demand and Procurement plans • Maintain a vendor database • Source quotations • Process purchase requisitions and orders • Follow up on outstanding orders from suppliers • Maintain day-to-day stakeholder relations • Handle stakeholder queries • Administer the bidding process • Render a secretarial and/or facilitation service to the Bid Committees • Administer all SCM records and registers within a specified timeframe and agreed format • Effectively administer the Contract Register and monitor compliance of service providers with SLAs • Ensure that all tender specifications comply with relevant legislation, regulations and policies • Prepare bid documents, schedules and bid meetings, and ensure the proper recording of bid proceedings • Provide guidance and support at Head Office and Regional Offices regarding acquisition of goods and services • Continually research new products to obtain best-value purchasing for the cidb • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior SCM Practitioner.
