DIGITALEUROPE is looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated and service-oriented individual to join our public affairs team in Brussels with a focus on technical and regulatory issues.
Duration: Belgian employment contract and attractive salary package, with health insurance, pension plan and other benefits
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Location: DIGITALEUROPE, Rue de la Science 14, 1040 Brussels
Responsible to: Director – Technical and Regulatory Affairs
Main functions of the job
  • Monitor priority issues and provide services to members and colleagues including early warning, intelligence and policy analysis
  • Develop and maintain good working relationship with EU institutions and other stakeholders
  • Produce high quality deliverables for members, including meeting minutes, plans of action, briefings newsletters and content for the web, social media and wider communication
  • Organise internal and external meetings and events
  • Develop a reputation as an expert in technical domains including but not limited to ICT standardisation, radio spectrum, broadcast, and e-Inclusion
  • Support the senior management in representing DIGITALEUROPE members’ interests by successfully implementing advocacy campaigns
  • Provide other day to day operational support to DIGITALEUROPE’s technical and regulatory policy group and related working groups
The position is based in Brussels with some travel within the EU and from time to time internationally.
Qualifications/ Education
University degree or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-3 years’ work experience, preferably in EU public affairs
  • Some experience in working with technical and regulatory issues
  • Some experience of representing a range of clients or members with varying interests
  • Experience of working with the EU institutions and key stakeholders
  • Keen to acquire and to deepen your knowledge in ICT related technical and regulatory matters
Desirable
Experience of working in an association environment.
Knowledge
Sound knowledge of EU policy process, policy monitoring and policy impacts.
