Farkas Fellow AJC Transatlantic Institute

The AJC Transatlantic Institute is currently accepting applications for its Farkas Fellowship, a programme which provides a young professional (either recent graduate or with some experience) an opportunity to immerse themselves in EU affairs and the effort to strengthen the transatlantic relationship. One Fellow will be selected to work in TAI's Brussels office for a period of 5 months with the potential to be extended another 5 months. We are looking for a highly motivated person, able to work as part of team but also independently.
Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating programming for the Institute, including organizing events, scheduling diplomatic meetings and identifying topics/speakers for public forums that will further TAI's mission.
  • Providing backround research for TAI publications and assiting in the writing of advocacy materials.
  • Monitoring key areas of EU affairs.
  • Maintaining and expanding our stakeholders list.
  • Assisting in social media work.
Qualifications desired:
  • Minimum of an undergraduate degree (graduate degree preferred).
  • Experience working in advocacy.
  • Knowledge of the European Union and its institution.
  • The ability to write concisely and articulately.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of French is highly desired, along with other European languages.
