Chevron San Joaquin Valley Strategic Business Unit is accepting online applications for the position of i-Field Project Engineer located in Bakersfield, CA, USA.

Overview:

This is an i-field Project Engineer position within UWT (Upstream Workflow Transformation). UWT/i-field is focused on leading research, development and deployment of new technologies and tools supporting both the Reservoir Management (RM) Framework and Operations across SJV Business Unit.
Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Duties will focus on very high level profile Global Thermal Decision Support Center UWT mulit-year project (Multi-opco 2012 CIP target) while working with key stakeholders across the heavy oil assets globally (some international travel may be required).
  • Additional leveraging of new technologies developed by our partnership with the University of Southern California (USC) (such as CiSoft) as well as ETC research projects will be desired.
  • The successful candidate will work as part of the SJVBU UWT/ i-field team and will collaborate with other thermal UWT/ i-field projects within and outside the business unit to capture potential synergies and best practices .

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required in any Petrotechnical (Engineering), IT, Computer Engineer or related discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years O&G experience.
    Digital Oilfield experience.
  • The candidate needs to have experience leading projects or a project team with a strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to effect change.
