Chevron Energy Technology Company (ETC) is accepting online applications for the position of Integrated Asset Management (IAM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) located in Houston, TX.

Overview:

The Integrated Asset Management (IAM) Subject Matter Expert provide technical and functional expertise for IAM technology in support of existing and future deployments aligned with the Upstream Workflow Transformation roadmap for deploying common solutions across the business. The IAM application provides an integration layer for a comprehensive set of petroleum engineering technologies used in forecasting oil and gas production. The IAM SME will have a working knowledge of reservoir simulation and integrated modeling technologies and the standard processes for their model management with IAM.
Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Work with perspective deployment candidates to align business needs with IAM deliverables
  • Participation in both classroom and one on one training
  • Serving as a champion and advocate for IAM adoption and change management
  • Providing a technical point of contact for identifying, prioritizing and resolving user issues with the IAM application and the functional expertise
  • Identifying new opportunities and providing input to future extensions and long term shaping plans for technology development
  • Collaborating with other points of contacts representing technologies that IAM interacts with (IPM, Reservoir Simulation, Earth Modeling, Real Time surveillance systems, Information management systems)

    Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Integrated Asset Management in Oil and Gas industry.
  • Technical Skill - Proven ability to assess and optimize well and field production (assessment, programming, and completion) associated with waterflood assets. Ability to identify optimization opportunities to enhance production, recovery, and reserves. Strong understanding of oilfield chemicals and/or general chemistry. Understanding of and prior experience with chemical and mechanical conformance and tracer design and interpretation. Familar with laboratory work and protocols.
  • Communication - Demonstrates ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives orally, in presentations, and in technical reports with both internal company and external stakeholders.
  • Teamwork - Demonstrated ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment.
  • Leadership - Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills; strong team player and proactive communicator. Demonstrated ability to lead small teams within functional discipline; provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
  • Working knowledge of reservoir simulation and integrated modeling technologies and the standard processes for their model management with IAM.
  • Some domestic and international travel will be required.
