Mechatronics: Senior Lecturer / Lecturer University of The Witwatersrand

Applications are invited for an appointment in the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering. Degrees in the School are internationally accredited and a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes are offered. It has a strong team of dedicated staff and excellent facilities.

Qualifications:

Consideration for the appointment will be determined by a combination of academic qualifications, practical experience and publications. A BSc (Eng) and MSc are necessary, with a PhD highly desirable, depending on the level of the appointment. Professional qualifications are advantageous.

Requirements:

Excellent experience in and knowledge of mechatronics systems; industry experience is desirable; versatility and competence in mechanical engineering disciplines such as design and applied mechanics are necessary.

Duties:

Undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing; project supervision; participation in research; initiation and co­ordination of research activities; management of active industrial partnerships; University administration.
