GRS South Africa is now seeking to recruit self motivated individual to fill the following exciting post:

The Referral Network Coordinator is responsible for coordinating community based social services to identified groups, individuals and families. This will be developed in accordance with applicable legislation in order to protect and improve the social well-being and functioning of GRS staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.

• Create and sustain relationships with the different NGOs and services for youth in all areas and communities where GRS has a presence
• Work with coaches, training/meeting with coaches on the appropriate ways to deal with youth issues, and referrals
• Providing counseling and support for coaches when needed
• Ensure legislation, standards and guidelines are being followed and GRS policies and procedures are in the child’s best interests
• Respond to reports of abuse
• Provide support services
• Conduct investigations into reports of abuse (i.e. conduct interviews and facilitate
medical or psychological examinations)
• Arrange for placement of children in immediate need of protection
• Provide family counseling and support
• Prepare court documents where applicable
• Develop and implement case plans including reviews and evaluations
• Facilitate and participate in case conferencing
• Connecting individuals with foster home care (development, recruitment and training, placement,
monitoring and evaluation)
• Provide access to adoption services by conducting personal history reports, making recommendations and completing family reunion reports
• Provide training to supervisors to elevate stress from volunteers
• Guide the debriefing process across sites
• Provide training for coaches in containing situations in different settings
• Write case reports and complete necessary administration
• Develop portfolio of referral service partnerships across all SA sites in coordination with SCs and site staff
o Make connection with organization, introduce GRS and provide contact and introduction with SC
o Update new partnerships and revise outdated connections
• Monitor accountability of GRS site referral service partnerships across all SA sites
o Work with SCs to maintain relationships
• Develop and monitor maintenance of proper referral procedures
o Follow up and track referral cases with coordination of site staff across all SA sites
• Provide HQ support for a referral based information
o BD programme design input
o Social work service for HQ staff
• Develop and implement site wellness programme with staff and all coaches
• Provide individual and group counseling across all sites
• Provide advice to site staff on all referral issues that arise
• Conduct community needs assessments with relevant groups
• Co-ordinate the development of a local service provider database
• Partner with appropriate community resources to develop ways to meet identified
needs
• Develop appropriate programmes and services
• Conduct programmes, services and evaluations
• Provide suggestions and arrange for training to improve skills and abilities

Requirements
• Degree in Social Work Preferred
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
• 3 years social work/counselling experiencePassion and experience in working with children • Strong communication and presentation/ facilitation skills
• Must have the ability to communicate at all levels across diciplines withinvarious organisations
• Ability to work independently in a fast- paced, multi-cultural environment
• Strong knowledge/proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
