Web, Mobile & Knowledge Mgmt Plat. Arch

The Portals, Content, and Collaboration team Platform Architect will be responsible for architecting platform(s) that support a globally matrixed organization that includes all corporate functions, e.g., Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, etc., and the company’s operating groups, e.g., North America, Europe, Latin America, Pacific, etc. Additionally, the architect will collaborate with other shared services and technology teams, e.g., Mobile Solutions, Salesforce.com, BI, etc.


The platform architect will be responsible for content management, digital asset management, Web content management, Web application, platform architecture designed to support many applications both internal and external facing. This role will also be responsible for evaluating solution architecture and design to identify how new and existing applications will interface with the platform. Additionally, providing an architecture that enables delivery of high quality solutions while driving speed of delivery and cost effectiveness is a key success metric for this position. The architect will interact with the enterprise architecture group, management teams, and internal & external development teams to establish standards and guidelines for use of the platform within TCCC.

The Platform Architect must have a proficient understanding of the following:



  • Development tools, languages, & frameworks: Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, PL/SQL, XML, XSLT, Faces, XUL, C#, .NET, ASP, XMLSpy, IntelliJ, TextMate, iOS, XCode, Carbon, Cocoa, Objective C, C++, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Solr, Sinatra, PHP, Python, Django, RubyMine, HAML, Scala, Erlang, IBM RAD, IBM Rational Rose, Eclipse, AJAX, Web Services, SOA, SOAP, REST, XML, PHP, Trimble TMS, Window CE, SCCM, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, etc.)

  • Collaboration & knowledge management: Adobe CQ, Chatter, SharePoint Server 2010, SharePoint Foundation 2010, UCM 10g (Oracle Universal Content Management), Lotus Domino 8.5+, Autonomy IDOL, Salesforce.com

  • Development methodologies: Traditional SDLC, RAD, Agile SCRUM, XP, Paired Development
