GHANIM INTERNATIONAL FOOD CORPORATION SDN BHD
Ghanim International Food Corporation Sdn Bhd (Ghanim) is a joint venture between Brunei Wafirah Holdings Sdn Bhd (Wafirah) and Brunei Global Islamic Investments Sdn Bhd; both government-owned companies.  Ghanim has been mandated by Wafirah to manage the BruneiHalal Brand in the food and beverage category. 
The BruneiHalal Brand is a project initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources along with the cooperation of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.  Businesses have to pass a strict auditing and accreditation process before both Halal permit and certification can be issued by the Brunei Islamic Religious Council in order for such approved businesses to use the BruneiHalal Brand. The BruneiHalal Brand, together with the BruneiHalal religious accredition stamp, is envisaged to give approved businesses a competitive edge especially in assuring customers about the quality and integrity of the products bearing the BruneiHalal Brand.
The BruneiHalal Brand’s main objectives are:
  1. ‘Fardu Kifayah’ - An obligation to fellow Muslims – to make Halal food readily available, safe and of high quality.
  2. Diversification of Brunei’s Economy
  3. Platform for the Development of Local Products and SMEs – Provide opportunities for local industry.
We are seeking qualified, experienced, highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join us as a Chief Executive Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Chief Executive Officer's primary responsibilities include:
i) providing overall leadership and vision in developing, in concert with the Board of Directors, the Company's strategic direction, the Company’s values and the tactics and business plans necessary to realise corporate objectives; and
ii) managing the overall business to ensure strategic and business plans are effectively implemented within the authority limitations delegated by the Boardthe results are monitored and reported to the Board, and financial and operational objectives are attained;
iii) managing the business to create sustainable long-term shareholder value; and
iv)  ensuring the identification and communication to the Board of all material risks along with mitigation plans and procedures.
The duties and responsibilities also include but not limited to the following:
  • To lead and advise management on day-to-day operations and business decision including: sales and marketing, information technology, finance and general management
  • Reviewing and analysing financial reports, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures, pursuing/assessing new business opportunities as well as monitoring and reporting financial performance
  • Develop and create a short, medium and long-term goals and business plan and execution programme
  • Participate in creating strategic partnership in sales and marketing when liaising with partners and clients
  • Provide expert knowledge on the development of the business processes and procedures as well as execution of business strategies and plans
  • Share experience, and train and mentor existing and new Ghanim workforce
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of working experience, preferably with FMCG industry
  • Good knowledge of the FMCG and Halal industry
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
  • Fluent in English and computer literate
  • Must possess good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Highly achievement and performance oriented 
  • Proven record of leadership and teambuilding skills
  • Has the ability to lead, plan and manage change
