Sponsor Relations Assistant , Arusha , Tanzania


The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides a FREE quality education to approximately 1,600 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in Arusha. Additionally, the school now provides employment to over 400 Tanzanians. 
We are seeking an individual to join our Sponsor Relations Team based in Arusha, Tanzania at The School of St Jude. The Sponsor Relations Team is responsible for gathering information and photographs for sponsored students, teachers, boarding rooms and buses; writing new profiles and annual updates for our sponsors; and maintaining current database information.
A minimum commitment of 12 months is expected

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare master file templates and update standard information at the start of each academic year.
  • Collect information for sponsor updates and new profiles in writing or in person by interview.
  • Request photographs as required from Photography Coordinator.
  • Take own photographs if required.
  • Write, add photographs and publish sponsor updates and new profiles in accordance with Sponsor Relations annual plan.
  • Electronic communication with sponsors using standard correspondence templates
  • Maintenance of school database information
  • Assistance with student selection process

Requirements and Skills:

  • Strong Computer skills in particular Microsoft Publisher or similar
  • Innovative writing skills in English
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Prior experience working in an office environment and desk-based job
  • Working with Children clearance or criminal check
  • An eye for photography!

Living Allowance:
