About Your Job:
In this Finance in charge role you will manage the finance function for the Maldives in line with Qatar Airways policies and internal accounting procedures. You will support the Strategic planning, Decision making, Costing, Project Management, Financial planning and Analysis in the station.

Your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to correct monthly closing as per HQ target dates; identifying reasons for variances and controlling cost by proper follow up; ensuring receivables are collected on time and payable are paid timely with no penalties.

Additionally you will ensure that all contracts are negotiated with the best possible terms, assets are controlled and all exposures are insured and that funds are effectively managed as per corporate directives. You will develop annual budgets, and resolve exceptions to internal and external audits as well as ensuring the timely closing of all audits.  Compliance with tax and local regulations is essential to this role as is costing and evaluation of local projects

About You:
To be successful in this role you will be a Commerce Graduate from a reputed University and a qualified Accountant with a certificate such as CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA/ICWA. You will need a minimum of 3 years professional experience within an Airline with 2 years or more in a similar position. You will have the ability to analyse and make improvements to business functions and processes to achieve organisational goals.

Excellent English language communication skills are essential together with a strong aviation specific profile in either expenditure or revenue accounting Financial accounts. You will need the ability to analyse administrative problems and make appropriate recommendations. User level experience with ERP and MS Office (Word, Excel) as well as basic knowledge of both passenger and Cargo accounting is required.
