Position Summary
The Credit Manager UK position sits within the Global Energy Marketing and Shipping (GEMS) organisation.
This is a key role in the trading department is to manage credit risk for GMT’s business activities in selling UKCS gas and oil production, Dragon LNG capacity and re-gasification, capacity in Interconnector and continental Europe pipelines and trading activities.
This position closes on 14 July 2014.
Key Accountabilities
· Produce and present analysis including in-depth research on individual or groups of counterparties, covering oil, gas, oil liquids and LNG credit capacity for new trading strategies and deals, setting exceptional credit limit for review by senior management.
· Work through deal requests ensuring credit risk is understood and mitigation requirements are negotiated and met.
· Uses Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) applications such as Triplepoint Commodity credit and Open link Endur with the expectation of trouble shooting issues and managing enhancements relating to improved reporting, controls, or bug fixes.
· Manage forecasting of cash flow requirements under margin agreements.
· Make decisions on margin call differences and reconcile disputes with external customers.
· Provide expertise to development of new tools/software to enhance credit risk reporting.
· Manage contract negotiations with external counterparties (EFET, ISDA, NBP ’97, ZEE 2004, CSA).
· Provide analytical support to traders and management through both ad hoc requests and daily reports.
· Provide daily assistance to risk exposure reporting.
· Interaction on credit issues with the Head of Credit and GEMS management team as appropriate.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience required:
· Experience of credit risk, preferably gained within the UK / European oil and gas or commodity sector.
Knowledge, skills and attributes required:
· Experience with leading, influencing, developing and managing teams;
· A degree or equivalent in a related subject.
· Fundamental understanding of trading, operations, risk, finance and back office business processes, policies, procedures and controls and linkage with a treasury function.
· Understands deal structures and types, interprets exposures, marks-to-market relevant positions and how to manage any potentially involved margining requirements;
· Understands trade reporting regulations, financial and management reporting, financial analysis, credit evaluation, and highly skilled in analysis around the measurement and monitoring of credit risk, including modelling capabilities;
· Analytical skills as they apply to credit analysis and good understanding of credit metrics.
· Demonstrates a strong technical background, understanding concepts such VaR and Potential Future Exposure measurements.
· Be comfortable and credible when dealing with external parties and senior management.
· Be resilient to pressure from peers and able to work within a dynamic environment.
· Able to manage a number of critical demands and issues to successful completion.
· Advanced excel knowledge and VBA skills.
· Be a clear and strong communicator able to build and develop relationships.
