Commercial Analyst - Supply & Origination
Position Summary
Responsible for assisting Director of Supply and Origination with the execution and refinement of the NAGM strategy. Supports the initiation of new market opportunities by lending commercial and analytical expertise, supporting transactions from concept, to negotiation to internal vetting until execution and implementation.
The role is a key interface with both customers and internal support departments such as assurance, credit, risk, finance, physical and financial trading.

Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the content in presentations and papers to senior management, assurance teams and Investment Committees.
Ad-hoc projects encompassing research and analysis in order to support NAGM's business activities in the acquisition of Supply, Gas Marketing, the acquisition of new Transportation contracts and new Business Development.
Other duties include working with the Trading and Portfolio Management Teams in process standardization, creation of models/templates, transaction evaluation, communication with supporting departments and progressing transactions through the internal assurance process.
Will contribute to deal structuring and overall optimization of NAGM's assets.
Develop and leverage relationships with customers in Supply, Origination and Transportation to ensure BG's competitiveness. Analyse and interpret market intelligence to communicate the opportunities and risks to BG's portfolio and assets.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attributes
Experience Needed:
Bachelors degree in marketing, finance, or economics
One to three years experience in natural gas industry
One to three years experience in natural gas industry
Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes:
1. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint expert), mapping software, analysis software
2. Knowledge of natural gas derivative instruments and their application for trading and risk management
3. Understanding of US gas market, associated infrastructure, and basis differential drivers
4. Understanding of corporate finance principles and energy accounting standard
5. Working level knowledge of natural gas regulation

Special Features:
Willingness to work after hours and on weekends if required. Some domestic travel may be required.
