Summer Internship – Project Assistant at OrientaEuro

OrientaEuro is dedicated to career guidance (youths) and career coaching (professionals) at any moment of their life. We are mostly working with youth from high school helping them to choose the best school and career path. OrientaEuro runs various activities and projects, among them “Seniors and Youth”. OrientaEuro strives to find a cross-generational relationship between the Seniors and the youth with the ultimate aim to share experiences, help the young to learn from elders about alternatives on how to choose their studies and careers, and furthermore, on how to become satisfied and fulfilled in life. That would be a supplementary and innovative tool, given complimentary to the youngsters in order to help them better confront the decision making of future studies and careers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in running this project. The project’s objective is to prepare short campaign, based on interviews with seniors, directed to youths ahead of the career decision making (schools, career path, first jobs). The responsibilities would imply partner research, establishing partnerships with other organizations working with senior citizens, preparing and assisting the meetings with various cooperating organizations, conducting video interviews with seniors in FR and in NL, treatment of the input, and written/oral preparation and presentation of the outcome results.
This is an exciting hands-on internship in a fast-moving and growing organization.
Main tasks:
• Assisting and coordination of project “Seniors and Youth”,
• Drafting press releases, interview scripts, blog posts, notes and short articles, other marketing materials,
• Establishing partnerships with other local and international institutions,
• Designing, drafting, implementing, follow-up of social media campaigns and direct marketing actions,
• Community management in Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Basic qualifications:
• Undergraduate or graduate student in psychology, social studies, journalism, or communication,
• Advanced level of Dutch,
• Communicative level of English,
• Creativity and ability to translate needs, desires and demands into effective marketing campaigns,
• Sense of responsibility,
• Passion for communication, writing, social policy.
Preferred qualifications:
• Initiative and entrepreneurial streak,
• Self-discipline and self-management,
• Attention to detail.
